This summer, the Living Sisu Hockey League (LSHL) came together for another run of summer hockey successful, community, and charity. We are incredibly proud to announce that we raised $15,826 for the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.
The money was raised through ticket sales, donations, the sale of Robins des Bas socks, and an exciting auction for a Balance Board from MTL Balance Board. In total, the LSHL has raised over $35,000 for this important cause in just three years.
One of our founding partners, Alex Atsaidis, lost his mother to pancreatic cancer. In her honor, and as a heartfelt tribute, the donation amount always ends with "26"—her birthday was on the 26th.
The LSHL is more than just a summer hockey. It's a charitable event that gives professional players a chance to train and compete in a fun 3v3 format, while also giving back to a cause that’s close to all our hearts.
We couldn’t have achieved this without our incredible partners, who helped us make this event possible, the dedicated players who spread the word and gave their all on the ice, and our amazing staff. From the streaming team to the physiotherapists, equipment managers, social media team, and everyone who welcomed the fans each week—thank you. To the rink Hockey Etcetera and to the fans who filled the stands every week for seven straight weeks, your support made it all happen.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
