Why Living Sisu?

It is an honor for me to welcome you to the Living Sisu universe. Since I was young, I always knew that I wanted to change the lives of the people around me and live in a better world. But how? Sport has taught me the best lessons in life: perseverance, determination, achievement, challenges, diligence, but most of all, teamwork. This is where the idea for a platform that brings together sports, wellness, activities and experiences came from. Living Sisu is about giving access to resources more easily. Resources that once seemed impossible to have. We are at the beginning of the next chapter of sport and technology, and we are at the right time.

Sisu

I was introduced to the concept of Sisu on a hockey training trip to Finland. It was explained to me what it meant and it immediately resonated with me to my core. It represented many of the concepts I needed to overcome so many obstacles in my personal life and in my hockey journey. As I learned more about Sisu, I became even more eager to live and inspire others to live his principles on a daily basis. As time went on, I made the decision to create this company in order to motivate and help others to always excel and become better people.

The team

Every athlete knows that teamwork is essential to achieving results. It is with this in mind that I decided to join the strengths and experiences of Zach and Alex as co-founders. These two individuals live Sisu on a daily basis, so it was very easy for me to convince them to join the team to create Living Sisu. Alex, a long time friend and the hardest worker I know, has brought a lot to the project since his arrival. Zach has been an off-ice training partner that I have admired for his energy and for always giving his 100%. His background in professional hockey, both at the international and NHL level, brings an extraordinary dimension of perseverance to the team. I am incredibly grateful to have a founding team like the one we have.

The vision

The vision is clear: to make sport and wellness accessible to as many people as possible. Accessibility is and will always be the focus of our activities at Living Sisu. For us, the definition of accessibility is not only being able to participate in a sport, but also having access to various resources, information, advice and reduction of associated costs. We want to create opportunities, remove barriers and provide support so that young and old can participate in sports and activities as much as they want with the right resources.

Thank you

“Rome wasn’t built in a day.” It takes time to create great works, and while you can’t expect success to come right away, it will be achieved with continued persistence, a balanced team and a great community. I personally want to thank my family and friends who have supported our project since day one. Zach and Alex, you guys are awesome, and we are going to have a lot of fun, laugh, cry, fail and succeed on this adventure. Jee Dee’s family, the athletes, the brands, the health pros and all our partners, we can’t tell you enough how much of the success of this project is due to you. And to you, dear users, thank you for being part of the adventure with us, and for trusting us to help you live your Sisu everyday.
