The wait is over: Week 6 of the LSHL marked the kickoff of the playoffs, and the fans gathered at Centre Hockey Etcetera were not disappointed.

The format is simple: in the semifinals, the 4th place team in the standings faces the 1st, while the 2nd takes on the 3rd. The winners punch their ticket to next week’s championship final, while the losing sides will face off in a consolation final.

An intense battle between Rénobrio (3) and Manmade (2)

In the opening game, Rénobrio and Manmade delivered a show that lived up to the hype. The intensity was palpable from the very first faceoff: board checks, quick defensive recoveries, blocked shots, and tight play. Rénobrio eventually opened the scoring thanks to a beautiful breakaway goal from Skylar Irving, who would later go on to complete her hat trick.

The main attraction of the night was the arrival of Laura Stacey, making her debut in the Manmade uniform. The forward quickly made her presence felt by generating multiple scoring chances before getting on the board early in the second period. Stacey and Poulin would combine for 7 of their team’s 9 goals.

The game remained tight until Manmade took the lead for the first time early in the third period. From there, they never looked back, sealing a 9–6 victory and booking their spot in the final.

Be Healthy Love Berry (4) brimming with confidence against Accent Assurances (1)

The second semifinal pitted Accent Assurances against Be Healthy Love Berry in a matchup that promised intensity from the very start. Both teams quickly put the goalies to work, creating scoring chances on both ends.

It was Be Healthy Love Berry who broke the ice, but their joy was short-lived—Accent answered back just seconds later. However, the tie didn’t last long. Riding their momentum, Be Healthy Love Berry netted four unanswered goals, building a gap that would prove decisive.

In her first-ever LSHL game, Jill Saulnier made a lasting impression by scoring a hat trick and pulling off several highlight-reel plays that fired up the crowd. Behind her, goaltender Tricia Deguire stood tall, making key saves to protect her team’s lead.

Despite a two-goal effort from Maureen Murphy in the third period, Accent Assurances couldn’t close the gap. Be Healthy Love Berry came out on top 10–7, earning their ticket to next week’s championship final, where they will face Manmade for the summer league title.
