A Tight Battle to Start the Week in Style
Week 4 of the LSHL kicked off with a thrilling showdown between Rénobrio and Accent Assurances in front of another packed crowd at the Hockey Etcetera Centre. Just one minute into the game, Savannah Harmon set the tone with a quick goal — the first of an impressive hat trick for the new Toronto Sceptres defensewoman.

The matchup quickly turned into an offensive shootout, with both teams trading goals in a high-energy atmosphere. The intensity reached such heights that even the game hosts called out the referee live for a missed call, joking about his "heavy arm."

The game featured several highlight-reel plays, including a beautiful assist from Maureen Murphy that allowed Kayla Tutino to shine, as well as a perfectly executed penalty shot by Jessymaude Drapeau, who beat her former Concordia University teammate, goaltender Alice Philbert.

Nothing was decided until the final moments. With the score at 6-5, Gabrielle David scored the game-winner late in the third period, sealing a hard-fought 7-6 victory for Accent Assurances.

Manmade Shifts Into High Gear and Halts Be Healthy Love Berry

The second game of the night, featuring Manmade versus Be Healthy Love Berry, exploded into action right away. Just 10 seconds in, Emmy Fecteau opened the scoring with the fastest goal of the LSHL season so far — a lightning start to an explosive game.

The first half was dominated by the Fecteau–Downie-Landry duo. Jade Downie-Landry stole the show with a remarkable five-goal performance. But despite her offensive showcase, Manmade took over in a one-sided second period. Once again, the Caron–Poulin duo dictated the pace, asserting themselves as they have week after week.

Turning point of the game: After brilliantly stopping a penalty shot from Marie-Philip Poulin, goaltender Tricia Deguire could only watch as Evelyne Blais-Savoie rocketed a laser into the top corner — sending Deguire’s water bottle flying off the net. The Vermont NCAA forward’s goal electrified the crowd and the hosts alike.

Manmade ultimately secured a 12–10 win over Be Healthy Love Berry.

Player of the Game, presented by Amir, Jade Downie-Landry, shared her thoughts postgame:
“I’m really proud of the team’s performance tonight, especially after a tougher outing last week. I’m super excited to have signed in Montreal — being able to play in front of my family and friends is really special.”
