As the LSHL playoffs draw near, intensity is ramping up—and Week 5 kicked off with a thrilling offensive showdown between Be Healthy Love Berry and Accent Assurances. In front of yet another packed house, both teams treated fans to a true goal-fest.
Ève Gascon came into the game riding a wave of confidence after receiving a prestigious invitation to Hockey Canada’s Olympic orientation camp in Calgary, set for August 26–28, in preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympics—a well-deserved recognition of her talent.
From the opening period, Zoé Boosamra, a standout forward from Harvard University, lit the lamp with a beautiful solo effort, scoring the first of her three goals on the night to give Accent the early lead. Meanwhile, Jade Downie-Landry wasn’t shy to showcase her flair, attempting between-the-legs dekes and even a "michigan", though she couldn’t quite find the back of the net.

The highlight reel continued with a bar-down snipe from Jessymaude Drapeau, followed by a dazzling goal from Maureen Murphy that was so impressive it even stunned her own teammates.
Despite a solid third-period push from Be Healthy Love Berry, it wasn’t enough to slow down Accent’s offensive machine. The Murphy-David duo once again stole the spotlight, playing a huge role in Accent’s 12–8 victory in what felt like a true playoff preview.
Rénobrio Regains Form Against Manmade
The second game of the evening featured a clash between Rénobrio and Manmade. After a quiet first period where both sides played cautiously, the pace picked up considerably in the second.
The chemistry between Labad and Labelle was undeniable—the duo found each other seamlessly, sparking several high-danger scoring chances. It was a true north-south battle, with end-to-end action and plenty of scoring opportunities, but both goalies stood tall for much of the game.
The moment of the night came courtesy of Brianne Jenner, who lit up the arena with a stunning move. She danced through the defense and fooled the goalie with a silky between-the-pads finish that sent the crowd, commentators, and even opposing players into a frenzy.
Also worth highlighting was Marie-Philip Poulin’s hat trick—she scored 3 of Manmade’s 6 goals, continuing her dominant presence in the league.
Despite Poulin’s heroics, Manmade couldn't withstand Rénobrio’s offensive firepower, falling 11–6 in a statement win for Rénobrio as the postseason looms.
