Some Activities to do During Confinement

With the pandemic that fell upon us and changed our lives overnight, we have been forced to adapt on all levels, whether working from home for some, closing gyms and restaurants for others, etc. If you’re running out of ideas for what to do, here are a few options to help you get through winter.  

1. Go on a walk 

Breathe in some fresh air! What an underrated feeling. Taking a walk in your neighbourhood, through a park near your home, or even in the forest, will not only keep your blood flowing, but also make you feel more comfortable overall. If you are not a big walker and have a yard, you can go for just a few minutes if you have the chance. 

2. Go skiing

3. Go on a Hike

Summer and fall are the seasons to hike, right? Often, views are even more beautiful in winter thanks to the snowy landscapes. In our next article, you will discover some places to go for an unforgettable winter hike. 

4. Go skating

Whether for playing hockey, figure skating, or just getting acquainted with ice, ice skating is a great activity. For those who would like to try it, you will have to work on your patience. You will probably fall, but don’t give up. By showing courage and tenacity, you will be able to get up and stand on your two skates. With a true Sisu mentality, you’ll be able to skate and soon feel like you can play for the Canadiens!

5. Visit Oka Beach

Oh yes! If you are in the Montreal area and its surroundings, you can visit Oka Beach – even during the winter. The view is breathtaking, and for those who love to take photos, those you take there will definitely be Instagram-worthy. With that being said, have a good walk! 

Spending time outdoors will allow you to both clear your head and to exercise. As they say, nature is like the extension of our living room; we should spend a lot of time there. It is a place where peace reigns. Even in times of pandemic, you can find solutions and alternatives for your sports activities. I encourage you to make an effort and get out of your comfort zone because for all problems, there are solutions not too far away!
