Why we do it
We offer a professional setting where athletes prepare for their next season. Everything is taken into account, including security, an athletic therapist, a high-end room, and a state-of-the-art arena. The league is set aside for them, and every player shares the same goal.
We have created a league that is equitably split between men and women, both for the league’s promotion and for the players’ well-being and playing experience. We believe it’s crucial for women, especially to be able to play hockey in a setting where they can be themselves, compete, and have fun, and we know that wasn’t the case prior to the LSHL.
”While professional women’s leagues are growing, the opportunity for most Canadians to watch these athletes is still centred around international competition and the Olympics, with Desbiens noting that the coverage of the LSHL provided a window into the day-to-day fun the athletes have, the summer competition providing another opportunity for visibility.”

It’s not every day that you get the chance to see your idols a few feet away from you, playing at a fun and fast-paced games filled with spectacular plays in a small arena. It’s a privilege for any generations to come and see the best players in the world compete in the off season. Inspiration and motivation guaranteed! The league will make you feel closer to the action than ever before. Exclusive and exciting!
We do it for a good cause. A cause that is close to our hearts. We donated the money from the ticket sales to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
By collaborating in the LSHL, our partners also participate in the success of the athletes, grow the game for women, convey the values of sisu and be associated with the best in their sports.
